Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting Publicists in all manners of media relations and account management. Candidate needs to be a self-starter who is disciplined, organized and resourceful.
· Assist with pitch and press release writing
· Help maintain client accounts
· Assist in generating media coverage for clients, including coordination of media interviews and story set up, disseminating information and images to the media, putting together interview briefing documents for clients, and conducting follow up with the media
· Maintaining calendar invites for media interviews and client meetings
· Media research
· Develop and maintain media lists
· Create and maintain professional relationships with media contacts
· Draft reports and coverage recaps for campaigns
· Coordinate press release wire distribution (i.e. through PRWeb or Business Wire)
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in PR/communications or related field
· Previous media/PR experience preferred
· Fully functioning home office
· Knowledge of media relations
· Strong writing skills
· Computer competency, including Microsoft Office
· Highly motivated and creative
· Well organized
· Time management skills
· Familiarity with Cision and wire distribution services (i.e. PRWeb and Business Wire) preferred
· Microsoft Outlook/Office proficient
· Must be based in the Phoenix, AZ area
