This individual is a Telecommunications Professional who Assures that the quality of engineering designs meets or exceed the customers expectation. Provides direct guidance to design team members on quality improvements. Provides Quality analysis reports to Senior Management. Monitors quality of work performed and identify solutions for improvement to exceed customers quality requirements.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Requires min 7 years Telecommunications fiber design experience.
• Min 4 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of general telecom engineering practices.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering related software.
• Ability to communicate clearly and directly in English and Spanish (read, write and speak)-Preferable.
• A deep understanding of outside plant copper and fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to host productive meetings and present information to review Quality Standards.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Min travel requirements (<5%).

Responsibilities:

• Company representative with customer to include all technical design clarifications, discrepancies, and resolutions. Dispute erroneous corrections from customer to increase Quality score.
• Conduct all business activities in a manner consistent with company corporate values and Code of Conduct with proper handling of confidential company and customer information.
• Perform quality review of engineering designs assuring that the designs meet or exceed customer expectation.
• Accountable for final Quality of all engineering designs assigned to them.
• Measure performance and identify areas for improvement and report metrics.
• Identify training needs and providing coaching individually or in weekly reinforcement meeting.
• Review company QC checklist for accuracy and necessary updates as required.
• Escalates internal/external issues/concerns/risks promptly to Senior Management to ensure matters are addressed promptly as to not impact schedule/timelines.
• Manages and monitors all Quality attributes on design submitted by that they are assigned to.
