The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience developing and cultivating new and existing leads through cold calls, telephone prospecting, request for proposals, etc. The candidate must have quantitative evidence of sales success within the media industry. Knowing the many media content players and how they work to create a strategy is paramount to the candidate’s success.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales and recruitment to grow our media business revenue footprints across the U.S.
- Cultivate new business while retaining and growing existing business through a variety of solution-oriented sales strategies Research, identify, analyze, and pursue new sales opportunities, partnerships, windows, pricing models, etc.
- Manage all aspects of gathering business and optimizing content and channel distribution sales to local and regional operators in digital, linear & non-linear platforms.
- Proactively source needs of the largest media content players to pursue aggressive growth targets and to drive overall sales revenue.
- Effectively articulate our company and product value propositions. Identify the current needs of client base and communicate the benefits of our recruiting for media talent solutions as they relate to each need.
- Drive strategies for account level growth.
- Work with Finance Team to accurately generate budgets, quarterly forecasts, etc., and explain any variances to internal stakeholders.
- Work efficiently, proactively throughout all departments within MTP sharing a common goal for overall company success.
- Be an MTP ambassador throughout the company and community.
- Any other ad-hoc relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience and/or training.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, progressive growth and results in a sales /recruiting role, with a strong preference within the media industry.

- Proven history of successful sales and recruiting in the media content or entertainment industry.
- Detail orientated: the ability to understand the details of current and future distribution opportunities, commitments, restrictions, changing models, windows, etc. An individual who can keep track of our clients’ needs and requirements.

- An energetic and driven, yet purposeful and measured individual, who can establish themselves as key link in the distribution chain, for a variety of internal and external clients.
- Ability to get the right decision makers in the room and comfortably take a lead in sales pitches for media content, all with the goal of closing the sale at the right valuation for MTP.
- Connected and networked individual: the ability to tap into a strong respected network of commercial contacts or to open new client contacts.
- Must be ambitious, goal-driven, go-getter with proven tangible results, a high work ethic and willing to do things differently in a start-Up work culture.
- Highly organized, collaborative self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in face-to-face sales calls including upselling, appointment setting and cold calling.
- Must be a team player and have a passion for creating and executing client focused, results driven ideas with the ability to provide effective advertising solutions.
- Strong understanding of entertainment industry rights, and both existing and emerging business models.
- Drive and tenacity to open doors and maintain lasting commercial relationships.
- Strong understanding and appreciation for the technical aspects needed to do holistic deals; proven ability to delve into new subject matters and quickly assimilate new levels of understanding.
