The Administrative Assistant position assists the HR Director and Counseling Director in scheduling counseling appointments.  This position acts as the receptionist for the agency, routing calls and visitors. The Administrative Assistant needs to be at least 21 years of age and medical insurance billing experience preferred.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess the ability to work efficiently and be comfortable being a member of a team and have the following skills:

• Use a multi-line phone system;
• Organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and time management skills.
• Work independently and function as part of an overall team.
• Keep accurate records.
• Good judgment and reasoning skills a must.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to listen.
• Approved Criminal History Check by the Alaska Background Check Unit.
• Speak, read and write in English.
• Basic use of Word, Excel and other applications.
• Use Smartphones/tablets and installed apps.
  
• Follow oral and written instructions.
  
• Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment.
• Respond to questions and requests for information.
• Answer incoming calls and assume other duties when needed.
• Schedule appointments and communicate with clients. 
• High attention to detail.

Applicants must also:

• Have an Alaska driver's license and clean driving record.
• Have a reliable automobile.
• Have current Auto Insurance, including liability - minimum suggested $300,000.
• Pass a Approved Criminal History Background Check with the Alaska Background Check Unit.
• Have a current TB Test. (can be done upon hire)

Job Type: Full-time (5 days a week)

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour DOE
