Job Description:
The Retail Operations Specialist will be responsible for building high performing branch teams and delivering well balanced results in all aspects of retail banking in coordination with the Retail Market Leadership. A Retail Support Specialists ensures sound risk management, internal controls, servicing guidelines in addition to managing operational aspects of the branches including audit, fraud, and losses.
Expectations:
Monitor daily operations to ensure a free flow process, and also supervise the execution of daily tasks.
Develop and enforce sound policies and structures for growth of the bank.
Create a strong workforce by developing individuals in the banking operations.
Oversee the processing of branch transactional activities to ensure due process, accuracy, and accountability
Create and implement bank teller and platform manuals to ensure continuity of business operations
Ensure client data is protected from the public and secured against fraud by developing and implement authority levels and verification levels
Collaborate with leaders of all areas of the bank to develop best practices for successful banking operations including audits, internal controls, risk management and customer servicing guidelines.
Education Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 3 years relevant experience required (retail, customer service, and/or financial services industry)
Preferred Skills:
Small Business and Consumer Lending experience.
Knowledge of bank products and services as well as an understanding of branch operations and security.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts and activities to meet branch goals and objectives.
Strong financial analysis skills
Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal and collaborative skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to motivate team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility, critical thinking skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
Must be detail oriented and well organized
Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
