Total Quality Management Senior Manager oversees and manages the team responsible for the implementation, administration, and measurement of total quality management programs. Leads the team in providing training, tools, and logistical assistance for quality initiatives. Being a Total Quality Management Senior Manager monitors the development of new testing tools, measurement methods, and systems to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Leads cross functional teams in studying and developing effective tools, methods, and systems to ensure that the products and services are of the highest quality. Additionally, Total Quality Management Senior Manager creates standards to measure quality results and to drive continuous improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Six Sigma or Kaizen certification. Typically reports to a director. The Total Quality Management Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Total Quality Management Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Provides construction management services on multiple or complex projects
    • Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements for projects
    • Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction
    • Coordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
    • Manages project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the client
    • Conducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information
    • Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment
    • Provides management of project logistics, organization and safety
    • Ensures project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner, including closeout requirements
    • Ensures project team adheres to safety requirements
    • Performs other duties as required to ensure project success

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is desired OR 15 years of documented GC or CM field experience
    •  Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Construction Manager and an additional 3 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager supervising staff is required
    • Experience with public projects in California, CA Public Contract Code (PCC), specifically with Municipal, Higher Education, Community College, or DSA K-12 projects is required
    • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
    • Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required
    • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are required
    • Ability to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is required
    • Registration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, and/or licensed as a General Contractor is preferred
    • Certified Construction Manager preferred

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $145,000-$155,000.
