Trader (Block) is responsible for the timely buying and selling of block orders. Reviews orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and conformance to regulations. Being a Trader (Block) evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Executes stock orders that consist of at least 10,000 shares or that have a value of $200,000 or more. Additionally, Trader (Block) requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and may require state licensure. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Trader (Block) typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job Purpose

The Trader Consultant will be a trading domain specialist and conduct face to face and remote selling to both new and existing customers.
In this role, you will independently generate income and control risks by performing more complex trading work, with a higher risk tolerance..
Key Accountabilities
- Apply a deep comprehension of trading practices and procedures to develop and execute the long-term trading strategies and books for a specific commodity, market or customer based on speculative and hedged positions.
- Monitor our team’s profit and loss on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Independently handle and monitor higher trading positions and exposures.
- Work with strategic brokers, customers, and agents, as needed, to manage and monitor higher risk trading positions.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.
You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
- Strong understanding of risk management, futures and options
