    Our Harbor corporate receptionist is the main point of contact for all visitors and entrants to the office lobby. The Receptionist is responsible for handling front office reception and administrative duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries and responsibilities with focus on a pleasant and welcoming demeanor, and a reflection of Harbor’s values and positive attitude on, at times, a very busy front desk/lobby.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries and routing phone calls accordingly
    • Check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations
    • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbooks, issuing visitor badges
    • Ensure reception area is clean and neat
    • Input orders, ship lists and credits as requested
    • Responsible for maintaining, closing and invoicing cash & carry and employee routes
    • Assist customers when picking up orders
    • Record cash and check transactions
    • Prints and monitors tags
    • Monitor office supplies and order when necessary
    • Ensure postage meter maintains minimum level of postage and add as necessary
    • Adhere to customer service policies and procedures
    • Work independently, cooperatively and respectfully as a team member
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by managers

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Interacting with Computers – Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information accurately
    • Ability to multi task handling medium to high levels of calls consistently while entering data
    • Ability to provide positive interpersonal/communication telephone skills; active listening, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, critical thinking and social perceptiveness
    • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles for providing excellent customer service and personal service including customer needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
    • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
    • MS Office suite at a proficient level; MS NAV preferred but not mandatory.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Minimum of one year in a high volume customer-facing office environment with stable work history.
    • Some college is helpful or experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • MS Office suite with excellent skills in Outlook with professional email etiquette is required.
