Trader (Government Securities) is responsible for the timely buying and selling of government securities, such as treasury bills, treasury notes, or bonds. Reviews orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and conformance to regulations. Being a Trader (Government Securities) evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area and may require state licensure. Additionally, Trader (Government Securities) typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Trader (Government Securities) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Function: Under the direct supervision of District Manager, performs a variety of governmental
accounting/bookkeeping functions, including bi-weekly payroll, and accounts payables, as
necessary.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work forty hours each week during normal working business hours 7:00 a.m. to 5:30

Education, Training and Experience:
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years accounting experience. Government Accounting experience
preferred. Utilization of a computerized accounting system preferably Sage Accounting and/or
Paychex (ideal) or similar package.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor
(CIA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), and/or Certified Government
Financial Manager (CGFM), and/or other relevant certification preferred
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience and other qualifications. This is not a remote position.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stoop,
kneel, talk or hear; handle or operate objects; reach with hands and arms.
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or
move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Work Environment:
Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and
administrative responsibilities and interaction with vendors and employees. The office
environment is secure and climate controlled. Occasional travel by vehicle may be necessary for
the purpose of attending educational workshops.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Individuals are exposed to
alarms associated with first response service, fighting fires and rendering emergency medical
assistance.
