Trader (Institutional Municipal Bonds) is responsible for the timely buying and selling of institutional municipal bonds. Reviews orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and conformance to regulations. Being a Trader (Institutional Municipal Bonds) evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area and may require state licensure. Additionally, Trader (Institutional Municipal Bonds) typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Trader (Institutional Municipal Bonds) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Location: Livingston, NJ
Job Type: Full TimeSalary: Negotiable base starting at $150K plus benefits, commission and discretionary bonus.
Produce and manage new business write up, client contact and marketplace submission.
Analyze surety financial ratios (ability to recommend/suggest surety parameters)
Obtain bond approvals from company underwriters in accordance with exceeding the client’s surety bond program.
Attend client/surety meetings to establish or renew surety program based on analyzed surety financial ratios/results.
Attend surety company and/or association events
Assist with bond claims.
Process and issue various surety bond requests (bid, performance & payment, various commercial bonds) for current and new customers per the agency’s surety procedures
Transact various surety bond renewals and new business item in the agency’s operating system
What We’re Looking For:
Five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Applied Preferred Database software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and Word processing software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Active P&C License
Sales experience preferred
EPIC Qualifications and Insurance License required
Proven experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Surety & Bonds management.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
