The qualified Quality Control Manager has at least 3 years of experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in quality control or food technology is strongly preferred. This role is based in our Service Center in Franklin, KY.The Quality Control Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring vendors are in compliance with Trader Joe's Minimum Vendor Requirements throughout the Supply Chain.
- Effectively ensuring food safety compliance standards are being followed by Service Center teams and operations.
- Supporting the Product Integrity Committee to ensure effective regulatory compliance while minimizing exposure of the company.
- Managing customer complaint systems and provide guidance and support to Service Center Warehouse and Logistics teams in continuous improvement objectives.
- Initiating appropriate corrective action when non-conformances occur.
- Conducting trainings with a focus on Quality Control processes.
- Ensuring necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Recommending measures to improve quality of product and quality systems.
- Working collaboratively with other departments.
The Quality Control Manager has:- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality control, food technology, food science, or related combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience working in warehousing with a focus in Quality Control/Assurance.
- HACCP, PCQI, SQF certifications.
- Experience handling recalls and product safety concerns.
- Prior experience in Microsoft Office systems.
