Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Recreational Technician with Boater's Safety, CPR, and First Aid certifications to join our team for the summer of 2024. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to teach and mentor children aged 8 to 18 in a variety of recreational activities. Your primary focus will be on teaching water skiing, including slalom, trick skiing, jumping, and barefoot skiing. Additionally, you should be proficient in gymnastics or parkour, golf, soccer, and possess conversational fluency in Spanish to provide a well-rounded recreational experience for the participants.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive water ski instruction to children and teenagers aged 8 to 18.
• Teach various water skiing techniques, including slalom, trick skiing, jumping, and barefoot skiing.
• Organize and supervise safe and engaging water-based recreational activities, adhering to boater's safety guidelines.
• Deliver golf and soccer lessons, fostering skill development and sportsmanship.
• Incorporate Spanish into daily interactions to facilitate language learning.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times, utilizing CPR and First Aid training when necessary.
• Plan and execute structured, age-appropriate recreational programs.

Qualifications:

• Proficient water ski show skier with experience in slalom, trick skiing, jumping, and barefoot skiing.
• Strong proficiency in gymnastics or parkour, golf and soccer with the ability to teach fundamental skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish, capable of conducting conversations and activities in the language.
• Boater's Safety certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Prior experience working with children and teenagers in a recreational or instructional setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, patience, and adaptability.
