Salary:
Pay Range: $50,000-$60,000 (Non-Exempt) Depending upon education and/or experience
About the Position:
Facilitate our employee development initiatives, presenting creative training events and educational programs. Responsibilities include training, communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. Managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting training programs. Ultimately, the role of the Training Specialist is to produce and implement professional development at our agency.
This position is required to travel to all CYFS locations across Central Illinois for trainings
A Typical Day as a Training Specialist:
- Deliver training to supervisor and staff using various media.
- Design and develop engaging learning content, courses, and curricula, utilizing an array of instructional design strategies, focusing on innovative ways to deliver training.
- Manage eLearning software platform, Learning Management System Learning Center, and various training tools.
- Administer and manage courses within the Learning Management System
- Manage users, assigning training as needed.
- Track performance/progress, and measure competencies of online learners
- Maintain and manage project schedules and provide status reports.
- Research and obtain relevant and reliable content for training courses.
- Utilize a variety of media, multimedia files, and social media tools to develop interactive eLearning
- Provide recommendations on effective delivery methods.
- Work in partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders across all levels of the agency to gather information needed to develop learning deliverables.
Does the Following Apply to You?
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Social Work, Human Services, or Training
- Learning Management System Experience (preferred)
- Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
