Job Summary
The Training Specialist will partner with corporate training manager and on-site operations leaders to develop and implement training program, standards, documentation, and tools for the local manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring site specific training processes are established, improved, followed, and maintained. The systems and processes will include SOP development, operator training, skill gap identification, training plan management, and sustainable documentation updating and retention. This position will report to the corporate training manager.
This position will have availability for both day and night shifts to support a 24/7 operation.

Education and/or Experience
Language Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A well-modulated tonal volume is required with excellent diction skills needed. English is required as the spoken language. Other languages are a definite asset. The job requires frequent communication with personnel in other CDI facilities, including transportation personnel regarding supply inventories. The Training Specialist must be able to communicate effectively and concisely, either verbally or in writing, on any issues relating to training issues.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation. Ability to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information.

Sitting/Standing/Walking: The employee will spend about 50% of their time sitting at their desk while performing computer tasks to complete schedules/reports, complete paperwork, respond to e-mail and answer calls and other clerical duties. They walk short distances to retrieve and replace files, to photocopy or fax documents, and to interact with other personnel.
Lifting/Carrying: May lift boxes weighing 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Pushing/Pulling: Some pushing or pulling is required on an occasional basis.
Squatting/Kneeling/Bending/Stooping: May squat or kneel on an occasional basis.
Twisting/Turning: Assumes any combination of these positions on a frequent basis.
