Description
The Training Specialist primary focus is to coordinate training needs of staff, including but not limited to (1) working with DSH administrative staff to address current and changing trends of EOHLC regulatory training requirements and (2) working in coordination with CHD Human Resources and the DSH Administrative manager to ensure DSH-specific training needs from point of hire through the duration of employment.
Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive training curriculum for DSH staff which includes an initial training regimen and periodic refreshers
- Work with Administrative Manager to maintain record of new DSH hires
- Maintain a record of (track attendance, issue certification of attendance, etc) required and voluntary staff trainings throughout duration of employment
- Consults ongoing with DSH administrative staff to identify staffing and training needs ongoing
- Consult ongoing with DSH sites / programs to gather input on areas of training interest for direct work with families
- Consult with DSH administrators and EOHLC to maintain the most current guidance on training mandates
- Models effective interpersonal dynamics and contributes to a collaborative team approach.
- Consults with DSH administrators and / or EOHLC to incorporate training opportunities which promote evidence-based and best practices in the human services field

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution required
- Experience working with unhoused families, including families with mental health and substance abuse challenges, preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) applicants strongly preferred
- Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
- Approved criminal background check (CORI)
