We are currently seeking an Application Engineer to add to our team! The Application Engineer is an individual contributor with individual responsibility and decision-making requirements. The position reports to a supervisor or manager and is not a function that involves
supervision of others. The role is expected to apply Engineering knowledge and judgment to accurately
specify products and systems. This person must understand and effectively communicate technical
information and principles to ensure a customer experience consistent with company business goals and
core values.
How you'll make a difference:
• Developing and maintaining technical expertise and knowledge of all products and industries
served.
• Developing and maintaining a detailed and high level of technical expertise and knowledge of
specific assigned product lines and their application.
• Thinking analytically and creatively to develop viable technical solutions using Valco equipment
to provide complete system solutions.
• Developing system quotes using Engineering criteria and simulation analysis.
• Performing engineering calculations to verify technical feasibility of solutions.
• Providing accurate specifications for equipment and building systems in quotes and proposals.
• Creating quotes using text, calculations, bills of materials, simulations, drawings, and other tools
to clearly explain and professionally present Valco equipment solutions.
• Communicating with Sales to assure the integrity of quotes that are presented to customers.
• Communicating with Supervisor, Manager, or Senior Application Engineers to assure the
integrity of Engineering information used to prepare quotes.
