Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Mark Thomas is hiring a Project Manager to join our Bay Area transportation team. The role of a Project Manager is to win new business or secure repeat business and manage all aspects of multiple projects using company project controls, available staff, and sub-consultant resources. This includes monitoring the budgetary health of the projects and providing a greater level of client care. This position requires strong internal and external relationship management skills. The qualified candidate will develop their own client base through business development activities and a higher level of client care, developing long-standing, positive client relationships. The supervisory responsibilities include the training, professional/career development, and mentoring of technical staff, and assigned staff to responsible projects. The Project Manager will need to maintain a broad view of the project and communicate this view through direct, ongoing communication with relevant staff, clients, and sub-consultants.

The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The base compensation range for this position is $126,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually.
