The Treasury Operations Manager performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital management. Manages day-to-day activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization. Being a Treasury Operations Manager ensures policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Allocates cash balances, maintains investment records, and prepares expense and earning forecasts. In addition, Treasury Operations Manager determines procurement of funds and monitors investments and collections. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Director. The Treasury Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     The PEOPLEASE Group is seeking a visionary Treasury Manager to join our esteemed team. As a pivotal figure, you will provide strategic leadership to a team of associates, ensuring seamless execution of all financial transactions within stringent timelines and service level agreements (SLAs). Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing payroll treasury functions which includes payments from clients, timely disbursement of funds to our clients’ employees, and fostering collaborative relationships with management teams across various locations. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in optimizing cash flow, ensuring client satisfaction, and ensuring financial stability for our organization.

    You will collaborate with multiple location management teams, participate actively in organizational initiatives, and drive strong operations forward, all while upholding our company's core values. An ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, highly analytical, and be able meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, both orally and in writing, with upper management, other departments, and externally. The candidate must be able to manage a remotely distributed work team.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Leadership Excellence: Provide leadership to a team of associates, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
    • Financial Transaction Oversight: Oversee all aspects of money movement processes, including payroll wires, ACHs, & client employee (70,000 ) payment processing, and bank transmissions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols. Manage excess operating cash to obtain optimum interest revenue. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare cash reports and KPI dashboards for key stakeholders
    • Issue Resolution and Escalation: Act as a primary point of contact for addressing payment discrepancies, payment & payroll returns, and escalating complex challenges to senior leadership for resolution.
    • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate closely with management teams across multiple locations including remote environments, actively contributing to organizational initiatives and strategic planning endeavors.
    • Banking Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions, negotiating favorable terms and optimizing banking arrangements.
    • Talent Development: Develop and nurture talent within the organization, providing mentorship and guidance to support professional growth and career advancement.
    • Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and champion the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Documentation and Presentation: Prepare comprehensive process flows and visually engaging presentations to communicate key insights and recommendations effectively.

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution. Master’s or higher level degree preferred.
    • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in treasury management or related financial roles, with a preference for candidates with prior exposure to the PEO or payroll services industry.
    • Flexibility and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
    • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in cash management principles, treasury operations, coupled with proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and banking platforms.
    • Software Skills: High-level Excel and ERP skills preferred ie. V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables etc.  Ability to analyze large amounts of data.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
    • Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven track record of analyzing intricate financial data and deriving actionable insights & metrics to drive business performance.
    • Strategic Vision: Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while consistently delivering exceptional results.
