PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Schedules shop work to facilitate maximum productivity in accordance with policy and the technician skill level required, to ensure department profitability
• Schedules service appointments, obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
• Checks the progress of repairs throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
• Explains cost and time requirements of repairs in detail and gets proper authorization before any repairs or additional repairs are required
• When repair is complete, explains completed work and all charges to the customer and obtains customer signature on repair order
• Provides customer with a complete copy of the repair order
• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
• Maintains an accurate and up-to-date work in progress log
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in progress
• Coordinates part requirements with the parts department and contacts customers immediately upon receipt to schedule appointments

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1-3 years experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier
• Ability to Read and Interpret Documents
• Ability to Document/Communicate effectively
• Familiarity with terminology and service of heavy vehicles
• Excellent organizational skills
