We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant with a minimum of 2 years clinical/office experience working within a physician’s office, billing office or laboratory to assist our faculty chair
The teaching assistant is responsible for assisting our department chair with all day-to-day administrative duties and assist instructors in the lab and/or classroom.
Requirements:
· 2 years experience working within a physician’s office, billing office or lab. Skills such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, urinalysis, wound care, EMR/EHR, light billing and coding, filing, pharmacology, medical asepsis, patient care, customer service skills.
· Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology
· Knowledge of Medical Terminology
· Knowledge of Google Workspace using applications such as Google Docs, Forms, Sheets and Google Classroom a plus
· An ability to learn new methodologies and systems
· Excellent communication skills
