Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the logistics industry based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be instrumental in the migration and expansion of our infrastructure, focusing on transitioning machines from Red Hat 7 to Red Hat 8. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining Red Hat and Oracle Linux Virtual Machines using automated processes, developing Ansible playbooks for automating Linux system configuration, and utilizing Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Responsibilities:

Lead the migration efforts from Red Hat 7 to Red Hat 8 across our infrastructure
Build and maintain Red Hat and Oracle Linux Virtual Machines using automated processes
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automating Linux system configuration and management tasks
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring consistency and efficiency in VM deployments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Linux server administration, automation, and infrastructure provisioning
Document procedures, standards, and configurations to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of the environment
Utilize your skills in Cisco Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, Linux Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, Red Hat Linux, Terraform, and Ansible.

Requirements

A strong understanding of Linux Technologies is needed.

Proficiency in Active Directory is important.

Familiarity with Backup Technologies is required.

Skills in Computer Hardware are necessary.

Experience in Configuration Management is important.

Knowledge of Deployments is crucial.

Proficiency in Red Hat Linux is required.

Familiarity with Terraform is essential.

Experience with Ansible is necessary.
