Overview: As a Planner you will be responsible for creating and managing sales and inventory financial plans at a department, class, brand, and style level. Planners are responsible for analyzing, identifying, and communicating sales opportunities and providing risk-mitigating recommendations. You will partner with the Buying team to develop and execute business strategies and seasonal plans to maximize sales and profits in accordance with corporate goals.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-Season Financial Planning
  • Develop sales and inventory plans that meet target KPIs.
  • Plan units – sales, receipts, inventory.
  • Create vendor plans that align with divisional targets.
  • Create ladders.
  • Assist with key analysis to improve the assortment planning decision-making process through collaboration with buying/planning/allocation.
• In-Season Annual/Monthly/Weekly Financial Planning

• Forecast sales, markdowns, receipts, IMU, gross margin using established sales trends/targets.
• Manage the financial success of the department by meeting sales, margin and turn objectives.

• Summarize performance vs plan at class, vendor, and style level. Collaborate with Buyer to create an action plan.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Allocators to determine and manage exit strategies by recommending styles for markdowns and controlling aged inventory.
• Open-to-Buy management.
• Quarterly hindsight’s.
• Lead the weekly Cross Functional team meeting.
