This position is a full-time, professional staff member of Housing & Residence Life, within the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities include developing and facilitating educational, developmental, and academic opportunities for residential students, and managing student support needs by coordinating and facilitating student outreach.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Foster community, civility, and academic, intellectual, and cultural growth among residents; Develop and evaluate residential curricula and learning programs for all academic years;Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and staff; Design and assess residential life programs based on student needs and best practices; Coordinate major events, orientation programs, and theme housing initiatives; Develop marketing plans and communication strategies for housing and programming; Partner with faculty, staff, and campus organizations to develop living-learning communities and support services;Serve as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders; Supervise, train, and evaluate staff (professional, student, graduate assistants); Manage budgets, administrative tasks, and communication with stakeholders; Support student recruitment and retention efforts; Serve in an on-call capacity for emergency response; Track and report student needs (academic, financial, case management) and resolve complex issues; Implement evidence-based interventions for academic and personal support; Participate in university committees and departmental initiatives; Ensure ongoing staff development and training; Perform all other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL DUTIES: To be determined.
