UTILITY PERSON constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Being a UTILITY PERSON installs wire and cable. Follows all safety regulations and procedures. Additionally, UTILITY PERSON work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Apprentice is generally part of a formal or informal on-the-job training program. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The UTILITY PERSON works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Delivery Driver/Utility Person
Must be self-motivated and willing to work in a fast paced environment. Home every night. Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person. Daily duties include deliver metal orders to job site, load unload material using Moffit fork lift delivering building materials to job sites. Loading and unloading customers.
While performing the duties of this job employees will be required to stand, kneel , squat or climb on truck as needed. Employees will also be required to lift 80lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
Must have Class A CDL drivers license.
