Being a UTILITY PERSON installs wire and cable. Follows all safety regulations and procedures. Additionally, UTILITY PERSON work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Apprentice is generally part of a formal or informal on-the-job training program. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The UTILITY PERSON works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing cross-functional duties in plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation.
