SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must be capable of qualifying as a Nuclear FM and obtaining Q-clearance (though an active Q-clearance is preferred). Experience with the following is desired: DOE Operational Readiness Assessments/Reviews, Implementation Verification Reviews (IVRs), Senior supervisory Watch (SSW), Operational involvement with development of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA)/Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) documents, development of operations procedures, and experience implementing/ mentoring Conduct of Operations programs.

Grade 23
EDUCATION
Bachelor`s degree in a technical field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and
experience. Successful completion of applicable UCOR FM qualification standards.
EXPERIENCE
Entry level for Facility Manager, a minimum of 5 years prior experience in construction or facility maintenance related work
LEVEL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a formal project or facility logbook for assigned facilities categorized as nuclear and/or radiological.
- Ensure the logbook is available for the Backup or Assistant FM(s) to make entries and for review, as required.
- Review and concur with all alternate methods utilized for tracking of surveillance, testing, and inspection actions.
- Review Work Packages, Work Plans, and associated revisions prior to approving work start.
- Include discussion of approved work as appropriate in operations meetings such as the Plan of the Day.
- Maintain facility status and provide oversight of all authorized activities.
- Establish facility access controls.
- Prepare and/or support preparation of facility safety basis documentation.
- Serve as issuing authority for all work permits.
Grade 24
EDUCATION
Bachelor`s degree in a technical field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and
experience. Successful completion of applicable UCOR FM qualification standards.
EXPERIENCE
3 years of Facility Manager experience or 8 years of experience in a combination of facility management, construction or facility maintenance and successful completion of applicable UCOR Qualification Standards.
LEVEL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
FM for one major complex or multiple less complex facilities
- Maintain a formal project or facility logbook for assigned facilities categorized as nuclear and/or radiological.
- Ensure the logbook is available for the Backup or Assistant FM(s) to make entries and for review, as required.
- Review and concur with all alternate methods utilized for tracking of surveillance, testing, and inspection actions.
- Review Work Packages, Work Plans, and associated revisions prior to approving work start.
- Include discussion of approved work as appropriate in operations meetings such as the Plan of the Day.

10 years in progressively responsible facilities management activities
LEVEL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
- FM for at least 1 nuclear and/or radiological facility.
- Maintain a formal project or facility logbook for assigned facilities categorized as nuclear and/or Radiological
- Ensure the logbook is available for the Backup or Assistant FM(s) to make entries and for review, as required
- Establish a master schedule to identify when surveillance, testing, and inspection actions are required for TSR SSCs and credited Design Features, and the current status of each required inspection/action (Nuclear).
- Review and concur with all alternate methods utilized for tracking of surveillance, testing, and inspection actions.
- Review Work Packages, Work Plans, and associated revisions prior to approving work start.
- Ensure that a process (or processes) are established and maintained for planning, scheduling, tracking and statusing all surveillance, testing, and inspection activities required by the facility TSR for safety significant SSCs (Active Safety Systems) and credited design features (Nuclear).
- Ensure the Active Safety System Surveillance/Testing and Design Feature Inspection process(es) are formally defined in project procedure(s) (Nuclear).
- Maintain facility status and provide oversight of all authorized activities.
- Establish facility access controls.
- Prepare and/or support preparation of facility safety basis documentation.
- Serve as issuing authority for all work permits.
Grade 26
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent. Successful completion of applicable UCOR FM qualification standards.
EXPERIENCE
12 years of progressively responsible facilities management activities.
LEVEL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
FM for multiple complex nuclear and/or radiological facilities.
- Maintain a formal project or facility logbook for assigned facilities categorized as nuclear and/or radiological.
- Ensure the logbook is available for the Backup or Assistant FM(s) to make entries and for review, as required.
- Establish a master schedule to identify when surveillance, testing, and inspection actions are required for TSR SSCs and credited Design Features, and the current status of each required inspection/action (Nuclear).
