SUMMARY

The Vault Teller is primarily responsible for the collection and processing of large volumes of currency. Additionally, the Vault Teller provides documentation of counts fulfilling all operations. Please note this is a physical position; the successful candidate must be able to bend, twist, carry, and push large loads.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible or all unds in the vault for the shift and all transactions processed through the vault
• Responsible for staging the bank deposit prior to daily pickup by armored service
• Responsible for balancing funds in the vault at the beginning and end of shift
• Responsible for all funds in the vault drawer and safe
• Balance all transactions processed in the vault and accounting for all markers at the beginning and end of shift
• Verifying transfer of funds from soft count to the vault
• Strap/unstrap and seal/unseal bags
• Daily communication with the Service Supervisor in the issuing of additional funds as needed per shift under the guidance of the Controller

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of cash handling experience required
• A strong mathematical aptitude, fast paced, shift-work environment
• A working knowledge of computer software and the ability to learn new software and systems
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment background check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Some travel may be required
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a closed windowless environment with video surveillance present
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
• Must be able to work both weekdays and weekends; flexible availability is a must
• Must be able to stand for long periods and move about frequently during working hours including standing, lifting bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to read, writ and speak the English language
