Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Orem, UT
Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Quality Inspector (Manufacturing Industry) Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)
Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments
to the production supervisor
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed

Must possess excellent communication skills
Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations
Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry
Able to work in the US.
