What You'll Do 

The Vendor Relations Intern will be responsible for supporting the Vendor Relations Team in data cleanliness and the creation of an easy-to-access vendor guide containing key information. They would primarily be assisting in data entry, data maintenance, collating, vendor setup, and other supportive tasks.  

Essential Functions: 

• Partners with Vendor Relations Team, Legal and Finance to properly record current terms, territory restrictions, and other key details for all Vendor Contacts. 
• Compiles vendor organization & contact details for 100 vendors.  
• Ensures vendor information is fully documented, and up to date in BC.  
• Pulls vendor reports, including financials, inventory and line management and is able to provide insight to each vendor’s performance. 
• Analyzes financial metrics (revenue, inventory value and velocity, margin), market trends, and other data to support insightful and strategic buying decisions. 
• Monitors vendor performance by channel, by item, by product category. 
• Partners with cross functional teams on process and special projects. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

What Makes You Successful

Education/Experience

• Must be a current student (or recent graduate) pursing a degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear and concise communication style, both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualifications

• Can-do mindset, high level of attention to detail, and proactive communication style.
• Data Analytics Passion required:
• Demonstrated analytical background and Excel skills to allow fast data interpretation and translation into powerful actions
• Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft Business Central are a strong plus.
• Track record of prioritizing and successfully delivering multiple initiatives on-time.
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
