Description:

The Personal Care Assistant provides personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, nutrition and environmental support services for an in-home client. These services are included in a written plan of care by a health professional.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, transferring up to 80 lbs., stooping, stretching, walking, pushing, and pulling, to assist with activities of daily living without assistance from other staff.
• Administer medications as directed and assist with medication management.
• Transport and accompany residents to and from activities and events within the facility.
• Observe residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any significant changes to medical staff.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting a positive and homelike environment.
• Complete all required training to uphold the standards of care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a PCA is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a caregiving role within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with compassion and patience with elderly residents.
• Physical capability to perform job duties, including transferring and assisting residents with mobility.
• Must clear a DHS background check and drug screening process.
• Passing Passing TB Skin Test

Pay: $17.39 - $20.94 per hour
