Fall River Veterinary Clinic is a mixed animal veterinary clinic where everyday is different. Our staff routinely get to work with dogs, cats, horses, bison, cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.
We're currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Technician for our high-volume practice to assist the doctor in performing a variety of daily tasks. The ideal candidate should be reliable, willing to learn and be a self-starter. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and able to multi-task with confidence. Our practice is growing rapidly, so we are actively seeking candidates who are interested in joining a hardworking team and contributing to our success.
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking to hire additional full time employees, although a part time person would be considered. The person we are looking for does not need to have a college degree or experience in a veterinary clinic. We are absolutely willing to train from start to finish. Certified veterinary technicians would be fantastic as well! We need our employees to be self-motivated, have attention to detail and a desire to learn. We do require weekend work, but we try to rotate fairly in order to be sure no one person has to work all of those shifts. Similarly, we do call in our assistants for after-hours emergencies. Therefore, the ideal applicant will be able to respond and be at our place of business in LESS than 20 minutes. Each employee averages 5-6 on-call nights per month, so it isn't excessive.
We work HARD at the clinic, but we also try to have a lot of fun as well!
Wage depends on experience, how fast skills are gained/maintained, level of patient care/competence etc. Minimum starting pay of $13/hr. Several other benefits after 6 months full time employment!
