Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of audio visual systems as well as lighting control, security and network systems. You will build towards working with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support for various audio visual projects as well as working with our team.

Duties:
- Install and service audio video systems, including equipment such as Televisions, projectors, speakers, and amplifiers as well as network equipment such a routers and switches, security systems, and lighting control systems and shades.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
- Provide technical support when applicable.
- Maintain inventory of audio visual equipment and ensure proper storage and organization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest audio visual technologies and industry trends

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience with network systems and cabling
- Familiarity with hand tools used for installation and maintenance of various electronic equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to the above systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication with clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of a/v, networking, lighting hardware is a necessity

Electronics, Electrical knowledge or experience is greatly preferred, especially in the area of Home Automation and Home Lighting Control Systems. As mentioned above a person experienced in the programming and installation of Home Automation systems field is preferred. This person would be involved from the beginning to the end of projects that might range from wiring a new construction project to the final programming of a home to more basic installations and programming or on-site troubleshooting of home electronics.

The applicant would be part of our team of techs that install residential high performance audio, video, security, lighting and automation equipment. Training, specific to the related jobs will also be provided. The applicant will need to have transportation to and from the job. As a security installation company, our applicants cannot have felonies. A person hired for this position needs to have a good work ethic, work well with others, and be willing to learn and assist with all task involved.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
