EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Ensure items are tagged, priced correctly, and displayed accurately
• Coordinate trucks scheduled with delivery appointments
• Enter new product information into the Storis system
• Place purchase orders for products based on sales projections & availability
• Work with employees across all departments
• Assist with any problems associated with merchandise in conjunction with customer service
• Work on an organizational level with other departments to ensure customer needs are met
• Answer sales questions about products, prices, and availability
• Work with customer service to resolve warranty issues
• Recommend advertising opportunities based on inventory levels
• Inspect damaged merchandise and make informed decisions on where to place merchandise
• Attend weekly walk through to evaluate sales volume of merchandise on the floor
• Drive to other locations within assigned region and walk floors to assess merchandising needs
• Work closely with factory representatives to discuss sales
• Assist with periodic inventory counts
• Help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs
• Use excellent customer relations; train, coach, and manage all employees
• Ensure safety and productivity of employees
• Enforce all company policies and procedures
• Perform evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed
• Be a role model and leader and solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the department in order to achieve maximum results
• Perform any other duties as directed by management

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to lift merchandise of 20 lbs.; ability to communicate effectively with team members; minimum 3 years’ experience as a merchandiser at a Mathis Brothers entity; Must be at least 21 years age with a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.  

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting to 20 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly to move objects.
