Pricing Analyst Job Summary

Big M Transportation is seeking a Pricing Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our trucking company. In this role, you will analyze competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for our current customer base and potential new customers. Our ideal candidate would have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong MS Excel skills, and possess strong analytical and research skills with a keen eye for identifying opportunities.

Responsibilities

· Perform competitor analysis on similar products and services

· Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry condition

· Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels

· Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects

· Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives and barriers

· Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company

· Work with the sales and marketing team to define pricing structure for company bids

· Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions

Minimum Requirements

· Associates Degree in Business or any other related major

· Basic proficiency with MS Excel

· Basic proficiency with SharePoint

· Basic proficiency with OneNote

· Basic proficiency with MS Access

· Good reporting and analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets

· Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, possess a sense of urgency, and have the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment

· Must be able to multitask, willing to learn and adapt to change

· Hard working, critical thinker who is accountable and a team player

Preferred Requirements

· Bachelors Degree in Business or any other related major

· Advanced MS Excel skill (VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting, IF Statements, cleaning functions, pivot tables)

· Advanced skill working with large datasets

· Transportation and/or Pricing experience

· Clear and concise written and verbal communication

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Ability to function well in a team environment where work assignments and general direction changes frequently
