Great American Furniture Warehouse is looking for a new delivery/warehouse person to join our team at our Bend, Oregon location. We are a local family owned company who has been selling furniture in Central Oregon since 1980. We have 2 stores, one in Bend and another in Redmond.

This position is for delivery and warehouse. Each week there would be some days where you would be driving our box truck and performing deliveries. This includes lifting/carrying furniture into customer's homes and performing assembly on some items. On other days you would be working in our warehouse unloading semi trucks, putting freight away (including lifting and stacking), organizing the warehouse, transferring items between store locations using a delivery truck and helping with setting up items in our showrooms.

Previous warehouse or box truck driving experience is not required, but both are a plus. Our delivery trucks are Isuzu box trucks and are automatics. We provide delivery and warehouse training.

Requirements:

• Ability to be reliable
• Valid driver's license. CDL (commercial drivers license) is not required.
• Physical ability to lift/carry furniture from delivery truck into customer’s homes and up or down stairs as needed (heavy furniture is moved with 2 people)
• Clean driving record (required by our insurance company)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass drug testing
• Professional appearance
• Ability to work well with other delivery and warehouse staff
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to read and follow furniture assembly directions
• Basic tool use experience for furniture assembly

Location: 355 NE 2nd Street Bend, OR 97701

Position: Full time, 40 hours per week.

Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Days: Tuesday - Saturday (off Sunday & Monday).

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
