Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Leadership:
    • Motivate, direct, and lead workforce in the fulfillment of company objectives.
    • Lead safety team, LEAN event teams, and any other AD HOC improvement teams.
    • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to all levels in the organization.
    Operational Supervision:
    • Supervise warehouse operations ensuring efficiency, on-time shipments, quality, and a safe working environment.
    • Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure standardized approaches, processes, and optimal use of resources
    • Train associates on new technology, processes, procedures, and equipment to improve labor efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate inventory by organizing storage area, conducting physical counts and reconciling variances.
    Cost Management:
    • Monitor employee work schedules to minimize costs and meet business financial goals.
    • Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce distribution costs.
    • Support scrap and cost reduction programs through implementation of employee ideas.
    People Management:
    • Coach, counsel, and develop employees to meet business objectives.
    • Communicate established goals and objectives to warehouse employees and measure key performance indicators.
    • Assist in upgrading the skills of employees to meet current and future demands.
    • Resolve employee conflict and issues and administer discipline as necessary according to company policy.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
    • 3 years of operational experience in a leadership role.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain or Associates degree with 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
    • Thorough understanding of warehousing and logistics
    • Expertise in developing and initiating continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
    • Experience with SD module of SAP
    • Excellent decision-making skills and communication skills (written and oral)
    • APICS certification desired
