Responsibilities:

• Check self dumping hoppers, empty if full.
• Check tilt trucks and bins inside, empty if full.
• Check outside grounds, clean up loose waste.
• Check compactor and dumpsters, alert management if full.
• Organize and destroy product marked for destruction when time is available.
• Load scrap into designated trailers with proper loading patterns and maintain log of quantities & weights.
• Keep outdoor storage of drums, totes, and pallets organized.
• Keep the areas around the buildings and parking lots clean and free of all debris.
• Oversee safe and proper loading of bales
• Inspect balers and baled material for contamination.
• Oversee safe and proper ejection of bales.
• Maintain a clean and safe area around the balers.
• Maintain a log of bale weights and sizes and re-bale underweight bales
• Oversee transport and storage of baled material
• Perform daily maintenance tasks on the balers.
• Oversee safe and proper emptying of trash hoppers and dumpsters.
• Keep the area around the hoppers and dumpsters clean.
• Ensure that the hopper lids/covers remain in place. Report any structural deficiencies of the dumpsters to maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Lift truck experience preferred
• Previous experience with balers and compactors preferred
