Waste Water Treatment Technician jobs in Grand Rapids, MI
Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

This position is in the Septic Division for the most well known and established Septic Hauler of West Michigan. We are Family Owned and believe strongly in a family/team mentality. Candidate should have good customer service skills and a good work ethic. Experience with a Vacuum Truck is helpful but the right candidate can be trained fully. Candidate will be operating a straight tank truck (CDL B). Must have a good Driving Record. Position is full time with benefits.
Job Duties:
- Complete daily work load given by dispatch digitally on tablet system.
- Complete septic cleaning jobs which includes dragging hoses, digging tanks open if needed, handling vacuum hoses and vacuum truck operation.
- Communicate with customers before and after job completion with a friendly attitude.
- Communicate with dispatch if follow up work is needed.
- Be in the on call rotation (normally every 5th week) and tend to emergency jobs s they come in by communicating with our answering service.
- Keep truck clean and organized.
Education requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
License Requirements: CDL B Minimum with Tanker Endorsement.
