Web Designer jobs in Tulsa, OK

We are seeking a graphic and web designer to join our team! This position reports to the operations manager, and will develop graphics for internal use, marketing use to include social media, and for our e-commerce website. We have thousands of products on our website, and each requires a unique product description along with a lot of specific details for a wide range of technical products. We need someone with a keen eye for detail so our products can be added to our website without any technical errors, spelling errors, grammatical errors, punctuation errors, or capitalization errors in them. The same applies to any Project that this person works on, so you need to be able to proofread the quality and accuracy of your own work.

In addition to pay, medical insurance and paid time off are offered to full-time employees after a 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Modify and update company e-commerce website in Shopify based on written, established procedure(s). Manage thousands of products with consistency and a very sharp attention to detail. If your attention to detail isn't one of your greatest strengths, please do not apply.
• Design digital graphics to be used across various platforms, as well as print designs such as large format banners, ad posters, brochures, rack cards, t-shirts, stationery, direct mail pieces, etc.
• Be able to write unique, keyword-rich product descriptions without grammatical, spelling, punctuation, or capitalization errors.
• Design and manage e-mail marketing campaigns using Robly.
• Manage company's social media platforms to promote products and company brand. Be able to develop a campaign for scheduling strategic social media posts that promote the company's brand and product(s) using platforms such as Hootsuite.
• Digitize existing company documents into usable PDFs that our customers can fill out electronically.
• Keep up-to-date on popular web development layouts and design trends.
• Work with the operations manager to establish and write procedures for the marketing department that will outline and define the work that you do
• You will be expected to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday with one hour allotted for lunch each day. No overtime.

Qualifications

• Be proactive in proofreading and double-checking your work.
• Experience designing and managing custom e-mail campaigns using platforms such as Mail Chimp or Robly.
• Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a must.
• Experience in Shopify is a must.
• Knowledge and experience with white hat SEO strategies for e-commerce, basic web design, and landing pages is required.
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Be organized and methodical in how you approach projects.
• Be able to do your work on a PC. We do not use Macs on our network.
• Applicants must include a PDF sample or a link to their portfolio online with recent design samples that include logo designs, print designs (stationary, brochures, direct mail pieces, posters, rack cards, etc.), web design projects (especially e-commerce), video projects, custom e-mail marketing layouts, copywriting samples, etc.

Extras

• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools is a plus.
• Experience and/or licensed with Google AdWords is a plus.
• Blogging / content development experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java, and other programming languages is a plus, but not needed for this position.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere and video production is a plus.

Education

We require at least a high school equivalent education level. Primarily, what we are looking for is creative talent, attention to detail, and a work portfolio that supports both.
