Do you have experience as a Jr. Developer? Are you looking for the next step in your career? Peczuh (Pronounced “PZ”) Printing is rapidly expanding its information technology capabilities and is looking for a talented individual to join the IT team ASAP! This position would ideally lead internal web development projects that focus on building systems that integrate customer systems and needs with the main information management system.

The successful candidate will have experience in web development for internal IT systems and usage, understanding that these projects are backend heavy, almost always requiring communication with a database and various APIs. Front-end UI/UX skills are also required, along with the understanding that these will focus on efficiency and usability as opposed to graphical design and visual appeal.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like (Duties and Responsibilities):

• Work closely with the designated PM and R&D Director to thoroughly understand project goals, objectives and priorities
• Identify and resolve any and all system issues
• Coordinate and consult with team members on issue resolution
• Provide weekly project progress reports to team members
• Communicate with client IT teams and system vendors via video calls, etc. as needed
• Complete shorter-term projects as assigned, such as report creation, system troubleshooting, etc.
• Travel to and assist with other facility IT needs as required. The facility locations are SLC, Lindon and Price respectively.

Requirements

What You’ll Need To Succeed (Required):

• Proficiency with the following:
• PHP
• SQL
• HTML
• JavaScript
• CSS
• Git
• BSD/Linux
• REST APIs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Patience, understanding that you may be assisting with colleagues who are not as IT adept
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, but also be willing to work collaboratively within the IT group to creatively solve problems, come up with ideas and resolve issues
• Positive attitude and willingness to be helpful
• Good attendance is expected

You’ll Stand Out If You Have (Preferred):

• Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 1-2 years of development experience
• Familiarity/experience with:
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
• Web servers such as nginx
• Networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Virtual machines (VMware, Proxmox)
• Docker
• Crystal Reports
• Power BI
