The right candidate will have a strong background in web development and a good understanding of the latest website trends and technologies.     Position Summary: 

    The Website Manager is a vital role to our organization and will provide Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and the International Corporate Headquarters (ICHQ) with website management support. This role will take the lead on the maintenance and continued development of the sorority’s website. We're looking for someone who can work 10-15 hours per week. 

     

    Essential Job Functions: 

    • Maintain and update website’s custom theme and plugins, including updating HTML, CSS and JavaScript regularly. 
    • Build, format, and update website pages, forms, menus, links and PDFs 
    • Review website usability and troubleshoot bugs; includes monitoring and analyzing site performance and user traffic, and working to improve the user experience of the website regularly 
    • Maintain a consistent look and feel in line with the sorority’s branding 
    • Interact with key stakeholders in the sorority and advise on web capabilities, opportunities, and status of ongoing projects 
    • Conceptualize website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks 
    • Establish and/or update design guidelines, best practices, and standards as part of the overall website redesign project 
    • Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information 
    • Create appropriate website content aligned with the organization’s strategy 
    • Collaborate with the Operations Director and sorority leadership to complete outlined projects 
    • Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics 
    • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations 
    • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites 


    Education/Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s or other degree with a focus on web design  

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:  

    • 3 years relevant work experience in backend website maintenance 
    • Experience working with IMIS Rise platform or similar platform (preferred)
    • Knowledge and skill with web programming languages; Fluency with CSS and HTML 
    • Well versed in various website platforms and plugins 
    • Knowledge of web analytics and SEO 
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Familiarity with mobile trends and responsive design 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills 
    • Organized, detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously under varying deadlines 
    • Ability to provide support for e-webinars/presentations (live tech support during trainings/presentation) 

     

    Position Work Hours: General office hours are M-F 9:00 – 3:00 PM (EST preferred) with stretch timelines on critical updates as needed. 

     

    Position Location: Remote/Hybrid – 85% of the role is remote, with the requirement to travel to our corporate headquarters on an as-needed basis with advanced notice. All remote/hybrid employees and contractors are required to be available and present during core business hours, as well as adhere to our remote work policy.
