Website Manager manages the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the organization's websites. Oversees changes in the site's technical architecture to ensure that the website remains responsive and stable. Being a Website Manager manages the maintenance and troubleshooting of related hardware and software and ensures that web administrators comply with established standards and specifications. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Website Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Website Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Website Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Iris Germany are looking for Website Content Manager to support on ongoing content workstreams for our biggest client. 

    Orchestrate the flawless online experience for one of our major international clients in the premium white goods sector. Dive into the heart of their content management system (CMS) and become the ultimate maestro, ensuring meticulous updates and unwavering brand consistency. From troubleshooting technical glitches to collaborating seamlessly with our frontend development team, your expertise will keep content flowing flawlessly. As an integral part of our strategy, tech, and delivery teams, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a high-end website experience that exceeds expectations.


    The role sits within the Production Department and will be reporting into the Head of Operations.



    How you'd spend your day

    • Bring briefs to life: Translate content briefs into precise content updates, whether building entire landing pages, website sections, or simply making improvements.
    • Collaborate for innovation: Work closely with the development team on new features, troubleshooting technical issues and raising bug tickets with clear, concise reports. 
    • Be the QA champion: Perform meticulous quality assurance on all incoming content, spotting inconsistencies and inaccuracies with laser focus. You'll report issues efficiently, ensuring smooth collaboration for swift resolutions.
    • Join the strategic orchestra: Integrate seamlessly with strategy and delivery teams, sharing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills in brainstorming sessions and project planning. Your voice is a valued instrument in our quest for excellence.

    Following established internal processes and best practice, whilst also operating in a reactive environment you will need to have the skills to be flexible and solutions focused.



    What we’re looking for


    • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the website content implementation process, content management systems and website Infrastructure. CMS or other digital platform experience is essential.
    • Collaboration is your superpower. Seamlessly integrates with diverse teams, fostering open communication and problem-solving synergy. 
    • Champions unwavering quality throughout the content lifecycle, from vigilant pre-publication checks to collaborative problem-solving and proactive improvement initiatives. Every detail matters, and you ensure it shines!
    • Strong communication skills. Excels at communicating effectively with diverse teams to navigate challenges and find optimal solutions. Clear explanations and proactive listening ensure everyone is on the same page, working together towards shared goals.
    • Technically minded, with an understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web technologies
    • Experience of working with FE web development teams would also be helpful/preferred.
    • Familiarity with image editing tools is helpful, particularly for basic tasks like cropping.
    • Fluent English. Knowledge of German can be helpful but is not a must.


    Whilst the role is based in Iris Germany you are part of an international team that has the ability to meet in London and Munich offices.
