Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Job Summary:

    Join our dynamic Manufacturing Team as a Welder and play a crucial role in our safety-first culture while delivering high-quality welds. This position demands expertise in TIG Welding, Fluxcore, and Code requirements, with a focus on passing the 3G plate test. If you're passionate about precision welding and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.


    Responsibilities:

    • Execute Fluxcore and Tig welds on various equipment, adapting to different thicknesses, sizes, and orientations.
    • Interpret engineered drawings and job travelers accurately.
    • Select appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
    • Utilize basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.
    • Adhere to established safety and quality protocols, procedures, and practices.
    • Safely operate overhead crane and lifting equipment.
    • Maintain thorough documentation and electronic records.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Proficient in passing the GTAW (TIG) vertical test and FCAW (Fluxcore) vertical test.
    • Positive mindset with high energy and the ability to self-manage.
    • Flexibility with work hours (standard shift 5:00 – 3:30, Mon-Thurs. Friday and Saturday OT as required).
    • Capability to lift 75 lbs.


    Desired Experience and Skills:

    • Familiarity with fabrication processes like bending, punching, and welding.
    • Competency in reading a tape measure accurately.
    • Ability to perform mathematical calculations necessary for fabrication.
    • Comfortable with adding and subtracting fractions and decimals.
    • Basic knowledge of tools and shop operations.
