Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Wellness Coach to join our team. The Wellness Coach will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their wellness goals through education, support, and advocacy. This position requires a high level of autonomy, creativity, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the development and implementation of wellness programs and initiatives targeting high-risk and high-need populations.
- Carries out program activities aimed at improving employees’ health and well-being. Plans, monitors, reports on, and evaluates employee engagement, feedback, and progress in the wellness program.
- Creates and keeps precise and orderly records, ensuring prompt input of information into specified case management and reporting systems.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to individuals seeking to improve their comprehensive well-being.
- Conduct assessments to identify individual strengths, challenges, and goals related to wellness.

Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate and promote wellness activities, workshops, and events.
- Ensure confidentiality in client interactions.

Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

Be able to apply metrics to changes needed in programming.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Some travel to off-site locations will be required.
Requirements:
- Certification in wellness coaching is preferred or willingness to obtain certification within the first six months of employment is required.
- Previous experience working with high-risk, high-need, and poorly resourced populations highly valued.
- Must have discretion, versatility, and strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work with a variety of diverse individuals.
- Experience in non-profit settings and community partnership building highly valued.
- Knowledge of therapeutic communication skills and case management terminology is beneficial.
- Knowledge of benefits from a public and private healthcare perspective beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, actively developing work environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Education/Experience-
Certificate/degree or equivalent work experience in community health work or public health promotion is preferred.
