Job Overview
We are looking for a Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Systems Engineer to help with our FBW system development. The Overair FBW team is responsible for both electrical hardware and software on the flight vehicle as well as support during system testing and integration. Qualified candidates will specifically be responsible for development, integration, validation and verification, and certification of Butterfly aircraft FBW system.
The candidate would be part of the technical team responsible for the system/sub-system level activities of FBW development and would be working with various departments and the certification authorities. An ideal candidate would be able to apply broad engineering knowledge in analyzing and developing solutions to a wide variety of EVTOL FBW implementations and architectures. Understanding commercially certifiable high integrity and high availability control system architectures and system development is important.
This role requires the candidate to thrive in a high paced environment and be comfortable with the design, development, and test life cycle of rapid aerospace R&D. In order to be successful in this role, you should be capable of working with minimal oversight (while mentoring by senior team members will be available, as needed). This role will include interfacing with other engineering groups, so strong communication and inter-personal skills are required.
