Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Reports directly to HR and CEO.

    · Must be able to work with a variety of people and circumstances.

    · Must attend a Christian church.

    · Must be willing to uphold the standards and guidelines of the Union Gospel Mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To supervise the day-to-day operations of the Women’s Center.
    • To supervise and assist with the case management of guests.
    • To manage, disciple, and guide the staff.
    • To develop and enforce the policies and guidelines of the shelter.
    • To make decisions on issues referred by staff, including referrals and dismissals, banned individuals, and discipline.
    • To coordinate the chapel services to ensure the Gospel is being presented to guests.

    Common Daily Duties

    • Share the Gospel.
    • Treat all guests with dignity and respect.
    • Explain and enforce guidelines and policies of UGM.
    • Resolve conflicts in a calm and peaceful manner.
    • Answer phones in a professional manner.
    • Maintain a daily log of events during your shift.
    • Maintain client information data.
    • Review chore roster to verify that chores are completed.
    • Ensure that the Women’s Center is kept clean.
    • Case Management of guests to help them with transitional plans.
    • Check State and National Sex Offender Registry on all guests.
    • Cooperate with law enforcement agencies as required.
    • Monitor all safety and fire hazards in the building.
    • Follow building security procedures.
    • Submit building and janitorial requests as needed.
    • Check windows and doors to ensure they are secured.
    • Ensure that the Women’s Center is kept clean.
    • Ensure guest medications are secured and then made available when needed.
    • Provide nightly chapel when no group is scheduled.
    • Verify guests are present at curfew.

    Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Interacts with guests, staff, visitors, etc., under a variety of conditions/circumstances. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset guests or visitors, etc. under a variety of conditions/circumstances.

    Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Attend weekly staff meetings.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: Up to $36,000.00 per year
