Wound Care Services Director jobs in Bloomington, IN
Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Majestic Care’s Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for assisting in the organization and execution of nursing operations of the facility. Other duties may include, but not limited to:
- Reports to the Director of Nursing and Executive Director on a regular basis to provide information on management and clinical operation of the facility.
- Remains informed of federal, state and local regulations which are pertinent to the operation of residential health care facilities.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana
- In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS), develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
- Assist in establishing criteria and monitoring performance to assure that services provided meet established standards of quality care.
- Assist the Executive Director and DNS with overseeing and evaluating all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)
- Help coordinate nursing/nurse aide schedules and guide staffing procedures
- Help carry out objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
