General Job Description:  The distribution spotter is responsible for maintaining an organized parking yard and spotting trailers to and from dock doors.  The safe movement of trailers/tractors is the top priority of the Spotter. They are also responsible to work as a DC Shipper between trailer spotting duties.  Follow policies and procedures, including all Aunt Millie’s Food Safety and HACCP procedures which are critical to product safety, legality, and quality.

Distribution Duties:

1. Safely operate and understand all components of the Spotter tractor.
2. Perform accurate yard checks daily.
3. Spot trailers into and out of dock doors as directed by the Shipping Supervisor.
4. Work as a DC Shipper between Spotting needs.
5. Help direct transport Carries as to our procedures.
6. Inspect trailers for issues, such as tire conditions, marker lights, mud flaps, air hoses, brakes, etc.
7. Make trailer repairs when possible and work with vendor mechanics when on site.
8. Keep the trailer parking lot organized with optimized arrangement of trailers.
9. Preform driver check in and check out.
10. Keep work area (Spotter Tractor) clean and organized.
11. Always required to carry a walkie-talkie and flashlight during shift.
12. Know and understand all aspects of the Toolbox program.
13. Loading and unloading equipment.
14. Preform all tasks following safety protocol.
15. Any other task assigned by supervision.

1. Properly Lock out / Tag out any applicable equipment before cleaning.
2. Sweep all trailers before loading with any product.
3. Sweep shipping area at the end of your shift.
4. Any and all other duties deemed necessary by supervision.
