Job Description
Our company is seeking a Branch Manager to run a local lumber yard that will be responsible for the development, growth, profitability, and smooth operation of the business.
Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Excellence: Assume overall responsibility for championing sales growth and ensuring profitability of operations.
- Marketing Strategy: Play a pivotal role in developing and updating the marketing plan for the location, focusing on sales-driven strategies to enhance business visibility and attract customers.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and manage all staff, fostering a customer-centric culture.
- Delivery Excellence: Ensure the successful completion of daily deliveries to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize and maintain overall customer satisfaction.
- Sales Projections: Be at the forefront of meeting or exceeding sales projections, demonstrating a keen understanding of the market, and implementing effective sales tactics.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory effectively, maintain stocking levels, and supervise accurate counts, all geared to optimizing sales opportunities.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are well-maintained to support operational efficiency.
- Communication and Training: Lead and participate in regular branch and/or regional meetings and training sessions.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Identify opportunities for sales growth, adapt to changes in the market, and implement innovative sales approaches.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent. Demonstrated managerial, leadership, and sales success.
- Driving Record: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Proficient in basic mathematical calculations. Computer skills with experience in BisTrack/Epicor Software is a plus. Must have proven problem-solving abilities, effective oral and written communication, strong teamwork, leadership, and a demonstrated sales-oriented mindset.
