The Alloy and Materials Engineer II performs analysis and tests to aid in the development of new and improved metals and alloys as well as their applications to various products. Designs and initiates processes for the manufacturing of metals from ores and for the operation of the related production equipment. Being an Alloy and Materials Engineer II typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Being an Alloy and Materials Engineer II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
